Severnwye Farm is the base for Severnwye Equestrian and Severnwye Llama Trekking.
Over 15 years we have built up a centre with rare breeds, wild boar, llamas, horses, ponies, mules and donkeys.
Over the last year we have built indoor stabling and a large training arena for the equestrian operations and pony trekking.
We welcome visitors to Severnwye Farm, and those using the facilities or coming on treks in the forest can also see the other animals we have.
Equestrian Facilities
At Severnwye Equestrian we have all the facilities needed to make a great day out pony trekking. It is difficult to get a better location for hacking and trekking, being located on very minor roads and within a short distance of the forest.
Stables
Ten indoor stables in a barn. More stabling being installed! The main block comprises 10 loose boxes, 8 of which are 12ft square and two 12ft. X 8ft. An additional 10 stables are being constructed, all incorporating 12ft square boxes.
All stables are under cover, so no getting wet when getting kitted out for a trek.
Tack Room
A fully equipped tack room is available for kitting out anyone for pony trekking.
Training Arenas
There are two all weather sand and fibre training arenas available for lessons. There is also an additional grass arena.
The current sand and fibre arena has received very favourable reports so far, and has handled fierce rain storms since completion thanks to an excellent drainage system.
Our Animals
We have Llamas, Wild Boar and Giant Rabbits as well as Horses, Ponies, Mules and Donkeys.
Horses & Ponies - Most of our horses and ponies have been rescued. We were, and still are, well known as an animal rescue centre and have rescued many animals over the years.
Llamas - Llamas are wonderful animals that have a placid and helpful nature, and relate well to humans. They all enjoy their walks and have no trouble carrying the equipment and supplies for a great day out.
Wild Boar - we have some wild boar in a secure enclosure.
Emus - we have 3 Emus, a mum, dad and a baby Emu.
Rescued Hens and Golden Pheasants.
